Initial Challenges

Lifepoint Health recently acquired Kindred Healthcare to become the third largest hospital system in America. With 50,000 employees working at over 300 care facilities across 29 states, Lifepoint was quickly expanding. However, the pandemic led to tremendous shortages in the clinical talent market that was critically impacting that expansion.

Lifepoint was seeking solutions through third party agencies, but had a deeply fragmented approach. Each local hospital had worked with different agencies in the past, and some had no prior relationships at all. RecruitiFi provided a much-needed platform to help them organize and share their agency resources across all 300 facilities, and expand their agency partnerships in places where they were lacking.

Lifepoint and Kindred represented hundreds of individual healthcare facilities, most of which had their own Talent Acquisition operations. With this many satellite locations around the county, it was already a struggle to try to unify the agency processes from location to location, and now they were trying to unify processes across two massive organizations.

RecruitiFi took this fragmented agency process, and provided a single platform to manage all agencies across all of their facilities. This greatly expedited Lifepoint’s ability to find candidates, as each satellite location was able to access the organization’s collective agency resources rather than being limited to their own individual agency relationships. For the first time, Lifepoint gained a cohesive third party agency strategy through RecruitiFi.

Filling Challenging Roles

Clinician roles have always been a challenge to fill, but the demands of the pandemic created a critical shortage across the country. While the number of roles is skyrocketing, the supply of qualified talent is dropping. More nurses are leaving the profession each year than joining. 

RecruitiFi provided an organized way for Lifepoint to expand their reach and tap into new pools of talent through their own preferred agencies and RecruitiFi’s community of agency experts. Expedited workflows also save time and effort for their current TA team in managing the agency process. All told, Lifepoint has saved over $8 million since implementing RecruitiFi.
